Penile Cancer
Cancer occurring in elderly male.
Main risk of penile cancer is
- Old age above 60
- Human papilloma virus infection (Sexually transmitted infection)
- Poor hygiene
- Phimosis
- BXO- skin condition
Common presents very late due to embarrassment Common presentation are
- Lump in the penis
- Bleeding
- Foul smelling discharge
Diagnosis of penile cancer is done by
- History and physical examination
- Penile biopsy
Treatment of penile cancer.
Noninvasive penile cancer
- Topical chemotherapy
- Laser treatment
- Cryotherapy
- Circumcision
Invasive penile cancer is treated by
- Surgery- partial or total penectomy
- Rarely radiation
- Lymph node dissection if needed
