Dr K Ramesh returned to India after extensive training in Urology in United Kingdom, Ireland, Singapore and New Zealand in 2007. Since then, he is working as Senior Consultant Urologist, Uro-Oncologist and Robotic surgeon at Apollo Main Hospitals, Chennai.

Dr K Ramesh has 24 years of experience in urology. He is one of the best Urologist, with Indian as well as foreign experience (more than 10years). With his recent experience in New Zealand from 2018 to 2022 he is very much updated with recent advances in uro-oncology and has made one of the best uro-oncologist in India.

He is qualified Urologist & Uro-Oncologist with Indian qualification of DNB (Urology) and accredited international urology qualifications like intl FRCS(Glasgow) and FEBU (Fellow of European Board of Urology)

He is one earliest qualified Robotic Surgeon since 2012. He is commended for his work in Robotic Urology Surgery by Apollo Hospitals in 2013. He is trained and qualified Robotic Surgeon at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, United States of America (US).

He is also awarded as best doctor in south India 2023 for Robotic surgery by Outlook magazine.

• Dr. K. Ramesh graduated from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai in 1991 and completed his M.S (General surgery) from the same college in 1995.He completed his National Board training in urology from Apollo Hospital Chennai in 1999.

• Dr. K. Ramesh was the first urologist in Chennai to place an Artificial urinary sphincter in a patient with urinary incontinence. It is third such case in south India and 6 th of its kind in India.
• Dr. K. Ramesh completed his robotic surgery training and certified as robotic surgeon at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo,United States.
